Supporting public sector strengthening
Marie Stopes UG operates a public sector strengthening channel through which a range of public health providers are selected, trained and equipped to provide quality family planning services.
Our partners are supported by district trainers, who are also Ministry of Health employees. Marie Stopes UG regional trainers are responsible for supporting the district trainers to hold ongoing on job training and supervision for the trained health workers.
Expanding our reach
Through our Public Sector partnership with the Ministry of Health of Uganda, we are able to deliver high-quality services to hard-to-reach communities and some urban areas.
We continue to provide ongoing training and resources to our partners not only to expand access to high quality family planning and sexual reproductive health services, but also, to improve the health system countrywide.
This helps us to provide services to more people across Uganda than ever before and, most importantly, ensure quality standards for our clients.
