About the role
Reporting to the Director Human Resource and Admin the purpose of this role is to support the delivery of effective HR Operational service to MSUG staff through the provision of timely operational support in all the key HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Engagement & Welfare
- Involve staff in developing engagement ideas.
- Implement staff wellness programs focusing on physical and mental well-being.
Contracts & Performance Management.
- Update staff changes such as new joiners, promotions, transfers, and secondments.
- Draft contracts and conduct spot checks and file audits.
- Support line managers in tracking performance.
- Maintain accurate records and generate performance management reports, PDP reports, training calendars, and PIP reports.
- Ensure updated and accurate records in the Dynamics system.
Locum Management.
- Manage locum payments and contracts.
- Ensure timely payment of locums and identify any gaps.
- Track locum costs.
- Ensure all locums due for payment have valid contracts.
Employee Recruitment.
- Prepare and review interview reports.
- Conduct MSI checks.
- Upload and update staff data in the system.
- Create and manage job adverts.
- Review and update job descriptions (JDs).
- Develop and review interview guides.
- Conduct interviews, induction sessions, and KAYA training.
Insurance Management.
- Track and manage contracts for different staff insurance covers and related benefits.
- Organize refresher sessions on insurance policies.
- Ensure timely submission of insurance claims.
To perform this role, you’ll need the following experience, skills and attitudes:
- Relevant degree in Humanities with a bias in Human Resource.
- Post Graduate diploma in Human Resource Management is an added advantage.
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resource management.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in HR support in a busy organization with staff based in multiple locations.
- Basic understanding of National legal requirements relating to HR, including labour laws and administrative laws.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn and adapt to organizational policies, systems and procedures.
- High proficiency of data analysis and arithmetic computations.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Sense of fairness and equity in handling HR issues.
- Absolute discretion and a high sense of confidentiality.
- A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
